Kathryn Cunniff is a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at Penobscot Community Health Center. She is originally from Groveland, MA and got her pharmacy degree at the University Of New England’s College Of Pharmacy in Portland, ME. During pharmacy school Kathryn worked at Good For All Pharmacy in Waterboro, ME which is an independent community pharmacy. During her independent pharmacy experience she realized she enjoys serving a local community.

On her clinical rotations during pharmacy school she also found a passion for ambulatory care pharmacy working with special populations, especially geriatrics. Kathryn is excited for the experiences that PCHC’s PGY1 residency program will bring, and she looks forward to working with the Bangor community and surrounding populations. She is also excited to improve her leadership skills and form interprofessional relationships with providers throughout the community. Kathryn hopes to gain experience and learn from the staff here at PCHC to become a passionate long term care pharmacist working with special populations.

PCHC's twelve-month residency is specifically focused on increasing the clinical knowledge, skills, and experience of new family nurse practitioners, providing them with a positive transitional experience from school to practice, and an opportunity to fine-tune skills under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
