Originally from Queens, NY, Elaina received her Bachelor’s in Pharmacy Studies and her Doctorate of Pharmacy while at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Elaina has experience in both community and managed care pharmacy from Inman Pharmacy in Cambridge, MA and the Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. During her last year of pharmacy school, she was involved in both anticoagulation and transitions of care research projects which spiked her interest in both fields. This also led her to develop a passion for primary and ambulatory care pharmacy.

At Penobscot Community Health Care, she continued to work with anticoagulation and helped to expand one of the primary care pharmacist’s clinic to include management of direct oral anticoagulants. She will be continuing her career in ambulatory care in Fort Lauderdale, where she is completing a PGY2 residency at Nova Southeastern University.
