Sarah Mierz

Sarah Mierz is originally from Branford, Conn., and attended the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. Mierz has worked in retail pharmacy since high school and I always loved the direct patient interaction aspect of the job. PCHC really stood out for Mierz when she was searching for residency programs because she felt like she would be able to have an opportunity to help provide quality care to people who might not normally have access to it. Being able to work at an FQHC is something Mierz is very proud of because she believes that everyone should have access to healthcare no matter what their income is.

PCHC's twelve-month residency is specifically focused on increasing the clinical knowledge, skills, and experience of new family nurse practitioners, providing them with a positive transitional experience from school to practice, and an opportunity to fine-tune skills under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
