Meet the PCHC Residency Team

PCHC’s Nurse Practitioner Residency Program is backed by a strong team of providers and administrators ready to help you become an outstanding provider delivering expert care.

In Loving Memory of Theresa Knowles

Chief Quality Officer

In the summer of 2021, PCHC lost our leader, friend, and pioneer for our Nurse Practitioner Residency Program. It was Theresa’s vision to build a program to help new nurse practitioners to practice. We continue this program in hopes of achieving that unparalleled vision.

Candace Davis, MSN, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner Residency Director

Candace Davis, MSN, FNP-BC, began her career in healthcare as an EMT in Washington State in the early 1990’s. She then moved on to earn both her BSN and MSN in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and subsequently obtained a post-master’s certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Graceland University. Ms. Davis has significant experience in critical care medicine, cardiology, and hospital medicine.  In 2017 she began teaching nursing at the undergraduate, then graduate level in her home state of New Hampshire. In hopes of combining her loves of teaching, leadership, and patient care, she joined PCHC as the Director of the Nurse Practitioner Residency Program in 2020.  She works closely with the Chief Medical Officer and the Residency Coordinator to ensure a valuable experience for both our residents and our patients.

Katie Stevens, MBA

Nurse Practitioner Residency Coordinator

Katie was born and raised in the small rural town of Machias, Maine. Shortly after graduating high school she moved to Bangor to attend Husson University where she received her Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Management. After graduation, Katie’s goal was to find a job where she could help others and make an impact on the community. After several years of working at another health care facility, Katie came to us ready to take on a new and exciting role as the Nurse Practitioner Residency Coordinator here at PCHC. She believes in the importance of this program and is looking forward to providing support for our future residents, for the future of our communities.

Noah Nesin, M.D.

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Nesin is a distinguished physician leader with a statewide reputation. He has been the Medical Director of Health Access Network and a physician in the Lincoln community for almost 30 years. Dr. Nesin joined the PCHC Clinical Leadership team in March 2013. He works closely with other Quality Management Leaders and Providers to help them achieve high levels of measurable quality, and provider and patient satisfaction.

Michelle Foose

Grants Manager

Michelle Foose joined PCHC as the Grants Manager in the Fall of 2019. As a newcomer to the Healthcare field, Michelle was thrilled to join a mission-based organization like PCHC where she is able to combine her project management and compliance skills with her enthusiasm for health care for all members of our community. In her role, Michelle provides administrative and reporting support for incredible grant-funded programs like the Nurse Practitioner Residency.

Jody MacDonald
